You check your phone. Nothing.
You reread the last thing you sent. Was it too much?
You check whether he’s been online. He has.
You draft a text. Delete it. Draft a lighter one. Delete that too.
Then he replies with “sorry, crazy day,” and you’ve already lost most of your night.
The frustrating part is that you’re not clueless. You handle hard conversations at work. You give your friends great advice. You probably already know what anxious attachment is. Knowing it just doesn’t help much when you’re staring at your phone at 10pm.
You Know The Moment.
Why the usual advice doesn’t stick.
Most advice says “just stay calm” or “don’t double text.” That skips the hard part.
When your body reads silence as rejection, your brain isn’t trying to be logical. It’s trying to make the discomfort stop. So you grab the fastest fix: checking, asking for reassurance, sending the text you’ll regret.
It works for about five minutes. Then the anxiety comes back louder, because your brain just learned that silence is an emergency.
This toolkit gives you something else to do in that moment. Step by step, in order.

What’s Included
-
A short sequence to get your body out of panic mode before you touch your phone. Nobody has ever sent a good text mid-spiral.
-
Separate what actually happened (“he hasn’t replied in three hours”) from the story you’re telling (“he’s losing interest”). So one slow reply doesn’t take your whole night.
-
Ready-to-send texts for moments like when he goes quiet after a great date, when plans get vague or canceled last minute, and when you need to say something bothered you without starting a fight.
This is for you if:
You overanalyze texts, tone, and response times
Reassurance helps, but never for long
You know your patterns and still can’t stop them in the moment
You want to actually feel secure, not just act chill
This is not for you if:
You want scripts to make him chase you
You’re looking for someone to promise he’s definitely into you
Hey there!I’m a licensed therapist (LPC; LCPC) and a relationship anxiety coach.
I’ve been the woman refreshing her phone and rewriting the same text six times. But I’m also the woman who learned how to feel anxious without acting on it.
This toolkit has all the essential tools I use with my coaching clients (and myself), cut down to what you actually need when the spiral starts.
